Weird Sensation

For about thirty minutes or so, I’ve been having some throbbing sensation on the right side of my back, mostly the shoulder. I still have it as we speak. What is it? I'm starting to worry. I'm starting to get a weird numbness in my right foot, where my ankle is.

Oh and I think now would be a good time to address some other issues I’m having, instead of making a whole new thread...

Lately I’ve also been having really bad back pains, lower back in particular. It's so bad sometimes, I can't even bare the pain of sitting down, and standing up. Not sure what it is, but a long time ago I was tested for Scoliosis (about two years ago), and they said I had a very, very small curvature in my spine. Is there anything I can do for that?

Minor scoliosis can be cured with physical therapy exercises.

As for your severe back pain down to your ankle, I have sciatica which started from a fall (on the job injury) to my tail bone. X-rays were inconclusive but the nerve is pinched there. I often get radiating pain from my lower back around to the hip. I will get charlie horses in that foot and leg sometimes as well. I will even notice at times if I am walking in the store, it will be like I lose control of the muscles in that leg and foot.

When it acts up, it is almost like my "hinges are rusted" (what I call it) as far as sitting down and standing up goes.

I hope you are able to get a definitive diagnosis but unless you have had a significant injury to your lower back and it shows either by examination or x-ray, or your doctor knows what it is by the symptoms, it may be hard to get treatment. In the mean time, put your feet up often, relax, try heat or ice, and see if it gets better.

Best of luck!

Lindaru :)
