weird rash on chest, not going away for a week ?

i usually have acne, but this time, for some reason my chest got a weird rash accompanying it. it itches sometimes, so i itch it (probably too much) , but then it stops itching...i put my usual acne treatment on it and its helping a little, but i dont understand why it would itch...it doesnt look like usual acne, its like a reddish area of dry skin, that actually hurt after i put my medication on it. Could this be a sweat rash (i have that problem) or something else?
 
Have you ever been to an allergy doctor to be tested for allergic reactions? If not, you should try it out. You'd be surprised what everyday things could set off a reaction.
