My medical knowledge is limited to my cancer experience, but I have always had these weird questions about my body. Nothing is normal. I mean, I realize with some thing normal is just an average, but..
For example, my temp has always been about 96.5. It is ridiculous how many times I had to explain to the nurses to check my record because they either thought I had drank something cold or thought my temp was normal when I was running a fever.
Also, I am *always* freezing. Well, thats not entirely true anymore. My treatment caused premature ovarian failure. But, aside from the related hot flashes, I am always freezing. At the same time though, I apparently radiate heat. Every person I have ever slept with cant sleep under the covers with me because I put off so much heat.
Are those things related?
Another weird question is about my heart rate and blood pressure. My blood pressure has always been pretty low, about 90/60. It went up a lil during treatment, but has now returned to about that, maybe slightly higher. But my heart rate has always been higher, about 90-100 resting. It has been that way all my life. During treatment, they tested my heart every way possible, put me on meds for it during my treatment, but took me back off after, and considered it normal human variance from the average.
I wonder if those two are related. Also, I have super tiny veins. When drawing blood they have to use the baby butterfly needles, and when doing an IV they have to use a 22 or 24. Does that have anything to do with my blood pressure and heart rate?
And any time I get hot, or exert myself (like during exercise, even if I have just started and I usually exercise in 20-30 min secrements easily) my face immediatly gets blood red. Its actually quite embarrassing because people look at me and think I am gettin ready to die when Im doing well. lol.
