I've been awaiting the arrival of my first period for a while. Last month, my doctor told me to expect it within the next six months, based on my maturation. Well, since last Sunday, I've had sharp pains in my abdomen, and some times a clenching feeling; what I think are menstrual cramps, and so does my mom. Well, if this has been going on for six days, going on seven, is it supposed to be over with by now...?! Can the cramps last a week or more? They're not really bad; sometimes I feel them in my lower back and sometimes they shoot down my thighs, but they're not TOO bad. Is this normal? Can the cramps last this long or longer?? Thanks
