When I was 10 I fell off a swing set and completely knocked out my front permanent (adult) tooth. They were able to reattach it (cemented it in, and did a root canal). Since then I had braces for 2-3 years with no problems (that was 4 years ago) and I've never had any problems with it. I was told that it would be there for good, that it was cemented in and "not going anywhere" Well a few days ago I was just sitting and got a strange tingling sensation on that tooth or maybe on the gums around that tooth? (not sure which) but it was just a tingling feeling and it lasted maybe 30 seconds and happened about 3 times over 2 days. Today that tooth just feels weird. It isn't loose or anything yet it feels almost like it could just fall out of my mouth. I didn't bump it on anything. I am going to make an appt with my dentist tomorrow, but it may be awhile before he can see me. Does anyone know what could have caused this? Or what I can do about it? It doesn't hurt, it just feels funny, and it's only that one dead tooth. Any advice/ideas welcome and appreciated!
So if the root has dissolved, they can't just do another root canal? If thats the case is the only option an implant? And would that mean removing my tooth and putting in a fake one? Ahhh you're scaring me!
