Weird period? or Preg?

i was due on my period on the 1st, but i was really late and came on on the 13th, my period was really dark, parts were black, it was very thick and heavy too, this isn't a normal period for me :S i went to the doctors but went on the afternoon and she told me the preg test would most likely come back negative cause my wee wouldn't have that much hormone in the wee or something :S and it did come back negative, she then told me to go back on monday if i didn't start my period but i did start, but it's weird :S, i came off my period on the 18th, and just then i had some blood mixed with discharge, and it smelt real bad, like spoiled milk, my discharge doesn't normally smell like this, it never smells really :S i'm confused on what to do. was i just heavy cause i was late? please help. thanks. xx
