weird pain in upper stomach?

I have this weird pain in my stomach and i have had nearly all my life
it comes and goes, maybe 4 times a year it'll come.
anyway i was diagnosed with gastric reflux, although my prescription tablets aren't working.
I'm also feeling nausea.
the only thing that takes the pain away is hot showers and heat packs
any idea whats wrong with me?
