Weird no-texting situation - what's up here?

OK - so this is weird. I hit it off with a girl (we're in college but with different majors and she's two years younger) and it was really a rush. We met up consecutive nights, talking and drinking a bit. Made out a bit... I was so excited. Mentioned she spoke to her sister about me. But then she sort of blew me off. Wouldn't text back right away, always super-busy (a hard worker!). But a week or so later she asked to come over to my place... so we spent the night together almost going all the way. She left the next morning, we were still kissing and hugging.
Now is the awkward thing. Something changed. She no longer would text back or want to meet up. I wanted to take her on an actual date. No luck, and she's basically been avoiding my texts, so it's fizzled. But for the life of me I can't figure out why.
I feel like the "girl" of the situation who got "played"!!! Can't believe it. She also left her cheap bracelet here. I want to throw it away. It's SO awkward to have her stuff here, because it makes it tough for me to move on. I've texted about it back when this over-nighter just happened and she doesn't seem concerned. I'm a mess over this. I really thought she was date-material.
Looking back, she works hard, drinks a lot, and seems a bit unbalanced. But DAMN I don't know why she's being immature about this. I'd love to really know what she was thinking right from the very beginning. Now I don't know how to resolve this. I don't simply want to never text again (we WILL run into each other at some point on campus) but I don't want to feel like a tool for keeping up a text now and then. Plus I genuinely want to return her bracelet. So if you have any idea what happened - maybe she is just a "player" or something weird - then please let me know.
I would like to find a way to keep this thing on the backburner, and not cut ties 100%. But I'm not sure how to balance the fact I want to keep my cool and dignity but also let her know she really hurt me here.
