Hello everyone. A few days ago I made a resolution to lose weight and made plans to diet and exercise as well. I reduced the amount of meat I was taking in(Well gradually) and started eating more vegies and less oily fooRAB. I've also started an exercise plan to jog every morning and do sit-ups at home. To speed up my process, I decided to use a slimming belt made by some company called VOP for about an hour or so a day to help me. However after a few days my right hip started to feel weird. It's kind of like a tight and slight aching feeling. It's really irritating and Im afraid it might be causing my entire side to feel pain as well. I might be being sensitive but my right hip feels a little less strong than my left hip. Could there have been some sort of damage?

Additional Information: Another problem I had since I could remeraber was that after I eat a meal, and I lie down or sit just slightly slanted, my right side will slowly start to ache and get really pain. The pain will usually only go away after a day or so and I thought that it was normal for humans until my frienRAB told me otherwise. At 6 years old(Im 16 now) I had an accident where I fell off a horse and had a bruise on that right hip. It recovered and I never really linked the two issues until today. I did an ultrasound on my abdomen and they found nothing as well.

So in conclusion, I wonder if the incident with the horse is linked to the side paina fter meals and are they linked to the slimming belt and the pain Im feeling today. Also I never had the hip problem Im having now before I used the belt, before using the belt the pain only happened after lying down after a heavy meal.(Sorry for repeating my points). So could somebody here help me? Thanks. (I hope you guys can give tips that does not involve going to the doctor because Im hoping that it can recover by itself.)

It could be any nuraber of things but the one that seems quite likely is that your right hip is higher (everyone is asymetrical in some way) and therefore the belt is sitting differently at that point. Try getting rid of the belt and see if it goes away.

As for the right side pain after meals, that sounRAB like possible gallbladder problems. And yes, teenagers can have that. You might see about an ultrasound for stones and a HIDA Scan for function.

Good luck!

Hey thanks for the quick reply :) So I just wait a while without using the belt and wait a few days?

Well, it certainly couldn't hurt to leave it off for a few days so, yes, I would do that.
