Weird Dream? what does it mean?

So, I had a dream where I was in a mall in a video game store. My family was sitting outside eating in the food district while I played the newest games. The whole store was eerie. All the game boxes were faded and everyone took on an emo- persona. Some punks walked in and started sitting and hanging out on a table some games were sitting on. I left the store and my parents asked if I was ready. Next thing I remember I'm in space in a third person view, approaching a floating college. We attach ourselves with an air chamber and walk in. My sister ( I don't actually have a sister in real life) handed me a briefcase with a white label on it. I don't knwo what it said. A guy approched me and took the briefcase as I handed it over. I turned around and my family was gone, I didn't fell woried though,I felt normal. The building I was in was lit with a dim purplish glow. I can't really describe it. I walked into a kitchen and then I woke up. The next night it continued. I was in the kitchen and a girl was talking to me (thats the thing about dreams, the people never speak, they just kind of, communicate). She somehow gets me to go into a closet and pull out a sofa bed. As I layed the sofa on the ground I realized the girl. Long brown hair, in a black star trek looking suit. I somehow asked her where I was. She said something...I don't know what though. (this whole time i've felt safe and normal). Somehow we started to get to know eachother. I fell asleep in the dream, and woke up in real life. The next day I had the dream for a couple minutes, I don't know what happened. I woke up and fell back to sleep the same night and the dream was gone.

What does this dream mean? Also, on an unrelated topic...is it possible that in your dream you know your dreaming so you have control over everything and just do whatever you want?
