Weird coolant leak in 97 Dodge Intrepid?

I have a 1997 Dodge Intrepid 3.5 and my fiance let the old coolant drip out and then replaced the thermostat. Suddenly after we replaced everything and bolted everything back in and then poured in new coolant there was an unusual leak. Looking beneath the car you can see a small hole that looks like there should be a bolt in it where the leak is coming from. We don't know why there's a leak because there was never a problem before and no other hoses or bolts were removed. Any help explaining this is very much appreciated.
 
Sounds like a weep hole in the water pump. But this leak would show up from behind the timing cover because the water pump is back there. Oh, changing this said water pump is not for the timid. It is tough...
