Weird but true... I loose weight when I stop exercising?

Ok so I work out at least 4 days a week and I've been loosing weight gradually which I am ok with because I know I shouldnt loose weight too quick.

So anyway, like a month ago I stopped doing exercise for about a week and a half and I noticed I dropped 2 or 3 pounds which I thought was weird. My food consumption was the same and everything was the same except the exercise.

Now, because I started classes again I've only been going to the gym 3 days a week or maybe 4 if I have time and this has been going on for 2 weeks now. Since then, I've dropped an additional 4 pounds!

Can anybody help me explain why this is happening??

your muscles might be turning to fat and fat weighs less so you are loosing weight
