I am a 48 year old male. About 3 weeks ago I noticed a round dime size bump on my left underarm. Now instead of a bump, it has changed shape to a longer, thinner bump. What could this be? What should I do?
It may be nothing more than a clogged sweat gland. Lay off the antiperspirant for a while, (bathe often! ha!) and use warm compresses on the bump. Meanwhile, make an appt. with your doctor just to be sure it's nothing serious like a swollen lymph node which might mean an infection somewhere in your body. Hope it goes away soon and let us know what your doctor says!
