I've had this goldfish for about a year now (he's solid orange, and was when I got him as a baby), and about a week ago I noticed he began to get black splotches (not raised), on his gills, forehead, the fins on his nose, a couple on his body, and streaks of it through his fins. The woman I took him to said she was pretty sure it was normal color change, but now the black splotches are disappearing, and are all gone on his forehead. If it's a color change, is this normal...he only had the splotches for about four days and there was never a change in behavior, eating, etc. But now, my other goldfish is getting the black splotches, and all the tips in his fins are solid black. This fish was black when I got him as a baby, then turned orange, so I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence that they're both changing colors, or if it's a weird disease spreading around my fish. Also, for my solid gold fish, is it normal him to change to black, then change back to orange in a matter of days? I'm sorry I can't be more explaining about the details, I tried to keep all the information in order.
