My cat has always been odd (who's cat isn't?) but lately this has escalated to a major problem. Her new habit of late is to pee on my bed and poop in my bathtub. The reason of this is unknown to me, I mean she does have a litter box that is clean and my other cat does not have this problem. She does not even do this on the sly though, she will do it outright. I do not believe her to be sic but then again I am no vet. Is there anything that can explain this odd behavior? The only idea I may have is that we recently adopted a puppy. Could she be jealous? I have no idea. Any advice or answers I am very grateful for.
If it makes a difference she is also an outdoor cat that usually just comes in when it rains, is cold, or to eat. For the first year or so we had her she was an indoor cat but due to her constantly finding ways to escape our house we now let her go as she pleases. And she is fixed.
