I am getting married and we are tight on money. We are renting a hall for the reception and we are looking for an available hall for the actual wedding. Is there something terribly tacky about having the small wedding and reception in the same building? Or should I spring the extra cash for two separate hall rentals. The wedding is super small, about 30 people. The money for the extra hall/decorations/transportation will have to come out of other areas of the wedding. If that is the case where do I skimp? The cake? The dress? The rings? We are already doing without the honeymoon, so there is no skimping there.
Yes all guests invited to the wedding are invited to the reception. For a while I was thinking "I do...lets eat" was a little weird, but I can see it is not out of the ordinary. Thank you all for your input.
