Black dresses for bridesmaids are very common these days and can help save on cost. My cousin had her bridesmaids wear simple black dresses with a colorful sash of her wedding colors. A few good colors to go with apple green would be a light pink or light purple. There are a bunch of websites where you can compare color combos. davidsbridal.com and dessy.com/pantone is the best you can comapre color swatches and order them to show everyone to make sure everything coordinates. Mother of the bride and mother in law should WEAR complimentary colors but not matching colors. They should be in the same color family (like, two different shades of pink, or red, or blue, or green, or purple, or whatever color everyone decides on.)

As for the color for the best man, if it's green and black, why not put him in blue? Green and blue are complimentary colors, and they look great together.
 
I think the bridesmaids would look pretty in black dresses with the apple green sashes! The mothers can wear whatever they want. Black is pretty easy to match. I didn't pick out what they wore for my wedding.
 
To be honest other than tux's for the groom and the grooms men...I've never heard of women wearing black to a wedding.

Then again I'm from a whole different generation so this may not count at all.
