Ok so I am affiliated with an organization on my campus, and when it came up that members of the organization would like someone who still attends the university to start managing our website, I agreed thinking it was gonna be everything that I had worked with before (html, some css, and just plain old notepad and google lol)
Well to my surprise, after contacting the alum that had previously run the site, he sent back saying "...It's PHP in the Codeigniter framework for the backend and HTML/CSS/jQuery for the front-end."
~ I've heard of php, never really used it!
~ Codeignitor? Google came up with "An Opensource Web Application Framework" - what does that mean?!
~ jQuery I've seen before, but i'm not sure how you can edit it or what programs are needed to test it or anything about it!
~ And what does "backend" and "front-end" mean?!
So yep, I feel really stupid right now. I still want to manage the site but I'm not too sure about those 4 things mentioned above, and what good resources are out there to help me learn to use PHP and jquery, and what programs I need to edit, write and upload.
