Website design help! HTML & JavaScript. Timers?

I am currently creating a simple website
From the main menu I wish to have it transition from one page to another.

I currently have an animated GIF to do this, which works well, but I cannot work out how to move the page on once it has been shown. The GIF just goes in repeat

Does anyone have any script I can use to help set up a timer, to move the page on automatically after a pre-set time?
