Hi everyone,
I'm new here and in need of some major help and was recommended by a friend to try this forum. I bought an unlocked Black Nokia 8801 off of ebay. It was formerly a T-mobile phone. I have a Cingular Sim card. When I got the phone everything worked out fine, texting, sending pics and receiving pics (phone to phone only), phone calls, etc.... EXCEPT FOR THE WEB BROWSING CAPABILITIES!! I need the web browsing capabilities to download any pics or ringtones offline or for what ever other reasons. When I download the pics and ringtones off a computer internet to my cell, they show up in my service inbox, but I cant open them (probably b/c my web access is not working).
I called cingular to have them pair up the phone to my sim card. They tried some patches, but nothing worked. They recommended calling Nokia, so I did. They tried some patches, but nothing worked.
Everytime I press the web keys, to get on and browse or download whatever that is in my service inbox, these are the exact phone prompts I get: "Subscribe to packet data first" and "Connection not available".
Has this happened to anybody? Can anyone help me? Or, at least direct me of who to contact?
PLEASE... I NEED HELP!!!
p.m. me, respond to this thread, ANYTHING!!!
