I just purchased a 4 year old green-broke mare. I plan to have her foundation trained. When talking w/the trainer I told her I discovered my mare weaves. The trainer said this is very bad. Has anyone had experience w/a weaver? I love my horse; she has the sweetest personality and seems bomb proof. I've looked at a lot of horses and she by far has the best personality. I am also green and have rec'd a lot of lectures (I deserve it!). I now have to be pro-active and deal with this the best I can. Any experience on this would be greatly appreciated! She is alone right now and we are looking for another horse for my husband. We don't want to purchase a farm animal just for companionship since he'll be getting a horse soon. Maybe I should board her w/other horses until we get another one? She is lonley and neighs every time I have to leave. She paces also. The previous owner had her in their back yard and forgot about her (makes me angry). She is on our property now and close to the house. We have a business in our back yard so she does see humans often. This just breaks my heart.
