Hi I've heard from some that knives of any length are legal for carrying in Canada as long as they are not obviously combat knives (ie sporting dual edges or serrations) is this true? And if so please provide a source.

Another question concerns the legality of carrying a sword when it is locked into place or secured with such a thing as a peace knot. Are there any laws mentioning this?

Otherwise is it legal for someone to carry a cane for fashion or medical purposes? Or does it count as a weapon such as a club.

Finally (just for shits and giggles) what are the legality issues for the ever ineffective but novel sword canes? Can they be considered as swords and carried if locked? What is the "sword" inside the cane is not actually as sword but a pointed metal rod? Do these fall under concealed weapons?

Thanks for humoring me!
