Since junior high I have been near-sighted, which is pretty common and I got prescription glasses to help improve my eyesight. However, within the recent years my vision has become doubled, I see things with a faint, ghost-like aura on top or below, as if highlighting the object.

This started when I was around eighteen/nineteen years old. I get frequent migraines that I thought were caused by impacted wisdom teeth, but they

Have you been seen by an opthamologist? An eye doctor, not an optomotrist. If not, you need to go and get seen to see why you are having such vision issues. You have only one set of eyes. Don't mess around. And your visions issues can be causing migraines also,

I strongly agree, PLEASE don't waste any more time and seek professional help.

Look in the phone book, or even on-line under opthamologist.

lack of adequate sleep can cause/trigger many problems...including many of the symptoms you mention having.

I'd also try a sleep study to find out if you might have sleep apnea, and a check of your thyroid, you may also be suffering from hypothyroidism.

I'm inclined to put a real wager on sleep apnea, though, because of the statement you make about "no matter how much sleep I get..." because, if you DO have sleep apnea...it prevents you from getting much of the GOOD, RESTFUL, RESTORATIVE sleep that you need...because it disrupts your sleep cycle, and prevents you from getting much REM sleep.

Most people who have sleep apnea never know it until they go for a sleep study, or someone close to them tells them they have it. And, by close...I mean a bed partner.

I am curious if you ever experience "microbursts" of sleep...where you - for no reason - just sitting at your desk or something...nod off for a few seconds and then jerk awake. That would be a classic apnea symptom.
