this ADSL2+MODEM wont work. We install the software (i think) & it still wont work
the pc is:
hp windows 7 home premium 64bit
the modem used to work & now it doesnt. it doesnt even register a internet connection coming in at all in the modem itself. even tho the cords are properly connected, working & we paid the bills. so whats wrong with our modem?
ps: we hav a westell 6100 DSL2+ROUTER & it works fine. (glitchy, connection going in & out, but THANK GOD IT JUST WORKS AT ALL)
the 6100f is a ADSL2+MODEM while the 6100 is a DSL2+ROUTER. is there signifigance to this?
pss: whats a really good & sturdy (NO BUGS), cheap modem to buy?

also, whenever We plug it up, & we unplug the phone cord, the modem still registers the dsl connection. wich i dont think is noraml or shud happen...its weird. the data is fine, IC wont ever light up & ths dsl light stays on as long as the modem is on......wierd.
