we have a 2006 chrysler pacifica and had to have the lifters repaired?

our pacifica has 50,000+ miles, it very well taken care of and the lifters started knocking. the dealership said the come lose and are no longer adjustable, they have to be replaced to the tune of $800.00. this sounds like a recall item to me. anyone had this problem?
 
Just had same problem on our well taken care of Pacifica 06 - 61000...
told every now and then you get a bad one....to the tune of 1,300....800 sounds OK
