I've been with my girlfriend for two months and I think shes the most beautiful girl in the world. Alot of my family are stunned by how good looking she is, and my friends all say "how the hell did you catch someone like that?"... basically she is by fact, a good looking girl. However, the one person who doesnt believe this is her.
So I compliment her every now and then, and have done since the day I asked her out. I like to do this, because it makes her feel good, which in turn makes me feel good because her happiness is a number one priority to me.
She said today that she doesnt want me to compliment her anymore because it makes he feel awkward.... this just ended with a huge argument, as I now feel ridiculously inadequate as a boyfriend because I cant make her feel good about herself. She even said that there was no way that I would be able to make her feel good about herself because "its just the way she is"
It seems silly to me, that we had an argument about me actually being nice to her?
What can I do to resolve this? could I maybe compliment her on other things?
