Without going into great detail I would like to tell my girl friends parents to wake the fuck up!!

A few years ago they purchased a duplex with another party, they could not afford to purchase their own property so thought it would be a good idea to go in half with us. We said NO! So against our advise because we are to young to know shit, they went in with a friend!!! So three years later we find that the friend forged a few doc's to give her and her husband 66% of the property so they would be the primary borrower to make all financial decisions on the property (refi, sale). Well during this time my GF has come along way in the mortgage biz and sniffs foul play! She demands all documentation of the property and takes in to an attorney upon her mom's request and finds a certain name was left off the title and another added at the time of sale.

But here's the part that pisses me off!!! Her parents are native to mexico and haven't a fucking clue how the world works except to bust your ass for that dollar!! Far as anything else, they haven't a fucking clue! Upon visiting with the attorney the cost to get the ball rollin is $3500. Do you think her parents have dime one to their fucking name? NO! GF being the good daughter she is fronts the money for her awesome parents! so here we are nine months later and they have paid back about $2700 but must now meet with a mediator to try and solve this mess, cost $700. So once again they turn to her for the money. This time she says no. I can't bail you out of this one you still owe me $800 and I simply don't have it! Seems like anymore we only hear from them when they have problems or they are fighting and dad threatens to give up on it all and leave!!

So now I say stop fucking calling with all your fucking problems and learn to cope! It took us ten years to get to this spot where life is comfortable and 40 for you to stumble and fall flat on your face year after fucking year!! We warned you of the danger but you refused to listen because you didn't want to take advice from some one half your age! Now look what you stepped in!! Im done scrapping shit off your shoe now Ill do mine!

There is obviously a fuck-load more to the story but who the fuck cares!
 
This is not the first time i've heard of this, and wont be the last. I agree with you on making them learn a lesson. A friend of mine cosigned on a cellphone plan for a friend of his, the friend racked up a 3000 doller phone bill in one month (I have no idea how) and now MY friend owes the money. Normaly i feel bad for people when they get into situations like this, but, I don't care when they say "No that wont happen to me." If someone fails to heed good advice on a dumb idea, they prolly wont learn the leason if they get help.
 
sorry to hear twist. me thinks you need to put the ten years into educating them, otherwise they will be a burden for the rest of your lives.

Do not do this. It is annoying. if you have no comment then shut the fuck up. Im sure Twist doesnt need your fucking shit, and I sure the hell dont either.

Twist: It sounds like a hard situation, especially coming from a culture where they tend to all work together and trust friends and family. Have you thought of a civil lawsuit w/o a lawyer?
