T treebug New member Jun 11, 2011 #1 I want to Wattle and Daub the top of a bee house I'm making as I want it to be as ethnic as possible. I know I need animal manure, straw and clay. what proportions do I need, amd will it be waterproof as a roof? Thanks.

R robin y New member Jun 16, 2011 #2 wattle and daub was used on walls, not on the roof. I imagine you could use exterior varnish after the wattle and daub had dried out
