Im building a new house and just looked over my final inspection sheet....apparently my kitchens and bathrooms have to have a "waterproof floor finish"???? Is that just something i put on over my floor of choice? Or do I have to buy a certain kind of floor? I have an open concept floor plan in the main living area with laminate flooring throughout..already bought the flooring!
I live in Nova Scotia Canada...anyone in the house building industry out there know about this? I happen to think even ceramic tile isnt "waterproof" as you need to do a lot to waterproof a tiled shower to ensure it is waterproof like a schluter system.
