I have a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban K1500 with a 5.7L 350CID V8. Throttle body injected. Every time I go through a car wash (touchless, or high pressure manual wash) my truck seems to get water in the engine. The truck will run fine for a few minutes, then it will start to buck, sputter, and sometimes stall at idle. Where is the water getting in? I block the air intake before the wash, and open it after so that no water gets in the filter or tbi unit. where else can this water be getting in? it usually stays for two days or so then itll run fine again.
i have a brand new distributor cap and rotor on it. i wash it with a garden hose and sponge anytime i can. but in the winter, its too dam cold for that. so i just hit it with the high pressure hose to knock off all the salt and crud.
plug wires are under 2 months old. they are secure and all have tune up grease on the plug
Zeno: please dont say that. lol. oh well, ill look into it
