There is water pouring out from around the draft diverter on the top of my water heater. Turning off the water to the building stops the problem, so it's not just rain water dripping in some place It looks like the flue that rises from the draft diverter goes up and out the ceiling. There is also another air pipe from the furnace that connects to the flue pipe near the ceiling. There is a old Humidifier connected to the furnace. Any ideas what may be causing the leak?

You obviously have a water leak somewhere, and it is finding the lowest path down your flue. You just need to trace the path of the water and try and locate where it is coming from. Do you have an individual shutoff to the humidifier that you can check to make sure is off. I doubt it is the humidifier though, since that is most likely lower than the source of the leak.
