my sister's blackberry curve 8520 was accidently left in a trouser pocket and then put into the washing machine. this is a serious matter so please don't laugh.
anyway, the blackberry survived without getting any damage to its appearance, but it was soaked inside and out.
she took the battery and sim out, and tried the sim in another phone and it worked fine.
on the other hand, we dried the blackberry with a hairdryer for a few minutes. after drying the blackberry and its battery, we put the battery back in to see if anything happened, and nothing did.
we haven't charged the battery yet, but at this stage we are afraid to do so.
in its current tstate, does anyone have any idea on what possibly has happened to it?
for example, any chance of a short circuit or permanent damage?
and any suggestions on what we should do with it now?
