Hi. My parents are thinking about upgrading our Virgin Media set-top box to a V+ box. We are on the XL packages for TV, internet and phone, which means that we could keep the old box in another room for only £5 a month, so I'm thinking about having it in my room.
So... Here's the actual question. I watch TV via Windows Vista Media Center in my room. Could I connect the Virgin STB to my PC (via S-Video) and would the Virgin VoD work in Media Center? How would I go about setting this up?
Another option would be to purchase a SyncBlaster cable to connect the VM STB directly to the spare VGA port on my LCD monitor, but these are expensive. My final option would be to stick with my current Freeview set-up.
What would you recommend? How would I go about connecting Virgin Media to Vista Media Center? What kind of results should I expect?
