Watching movies on Dell iNspiron 1501 on a Sanyo LCD HD TV?

I am not sure if I will need anything more than a pc cable to watch movies from laptop to my tv. I have a Sanyo LCD tv with the following specifications:

3D Y/C Digital Comb Filter

If I use just a regular PC cable will I be able to hear sound on my tv?
