im looking to buy a new fish for my amazon tank, its 300 gallons and right now i have 1 silver aro 1 green severum 1 gold severum a red tailed cat a pacu and i wanna get something new, something cool that doesnt get bigger then 2 feet

ive always found oscars to have nice personalities, if you want to expand your selction to include central american cichlids the options really grow.. 300 gallons is plenty of room for these fish to grow and unless they are already very large they wont be outgrowing that tank for some time.. if u would consider central american's then a beautiful fish is a red texas. midas or red devils are fun and pretty although quite agressive, but all of these fish should hold theyre own if theyre not overmatched by size. if u havent already try an oscar, they come in many different patterns and colors and theyre very easy to find, and they are found in the amazon with all the rest of your fish..

300 gallons would be perfect for a single silver arowana. A red tailed cat would need about that by themselves. Pacus would also need about that size.

Your tank is overstocked by a long shot. If you want all these together, youd need something like 800+ gallons.

If you dont want something larger than 2 feet... Well, you already blew that out of the water. Pacus-3 feet. Silver Arowanas-3.5-4 feet. Red Tailed Cat-3-4 feet.
