Was waiting for the G2X, but went with Galaxy S 4G - Will I regret it?

I've been in the market for my first smartphone (along with one for my wife) for about a month and a half now. It's taken time to get an idea of all the different options that are out there, from carriers to handsets.

A couple weeks back I settled on T-Mo as the carrier, and almost pulled the trigger then on the Galaxy S 4G along with an Optimus T for the wife. Well, I heard about the G2X, it sounded GREAT, and I planned to wait for it.

Then last night happened. T-Mo had a "late night" special going, with the Galaxy S 4G FREE w/ contract, AND the MyTouch 4G I had settled on for the wife was free as well. I know that the Galaxy S 4G is not as good as the G2X coming out, but I felt like I couldn't pass up 2 good, free phones like that.

So, will I regret it? Is there any kind of "trade-in" thing I could do if I hate it?
 
That's good to know. I thought I might have heard something about that with Smartphones, but I didn't know if it was a particular carrier or what.
 
I'll be ready, they shipped today, which will give me time to try it out for a couple of days before the G2X gets to stores next week.
 
Honestly, if you were looking for a "deal", I would say you will be happy. You're right, the G2X is going to be a bit better - but it is not going to be near the price you landed on both of those.
 
don't fell regret with your decision
at least you know that gadget is not got, you will never know if you are not try it.
the simple one is give to your family or your best friend who need it if you don't like it, than you will get the lattes gadget you want. I did like that
 
I decided I was willing to pay to have a more "future proof" phone I could hopefully be happy with for the next 2 years. The good thing is T-Mo at least just knocked the rebate out of the equation, and took care of shipping for me, so it was only $200 instead of $275 or so up front. It's small, but one of the things I REALLY like in comparison to the GS4G is the slightly textured back of the G2X. With the Galaxy, I was in constant fear of dropping the thing!
