Was this weird of me to do?

I know this is a strange question. Last night I went to the homecoming and I dont have many friends and all the ones I do have dont like dances. So, I went with this one person I know, but she is a junior. And I kept getting weird looks. I'm a freshman girl and I was hanging out with Juniors. So my question is, is it weird for a freshman to hang out with Juniors?? Or am I just thinking about this to much?? I really appreciate your answers, thank you:)
 
No way. I'm a Freshman and my sister is a Junior so she introduced me to a bunch of Juniors and Seniors. Now I hang out with them often. I find them easier to talk to than the Freshmen!
