I've been studying about world war 1 and the trench life, analyzing sources ect. & i've came across a question. Was there actually any good things about trench life?
There was horrific diseases, most of the men never made it out alive, food didnt vary, they hardly got any, there energy levels where low and they were constantly on the go. Also that the weather had a great affect on the men. In winter, the bitter cold could claim digits to frostbite and the rain the trenches would flood and be knee deep in water, this caused infections and diseases; it would also turn the soil into thick mud. In summer it would be roasting and blistering in heat, so the smell of the dead bodies decaying would be strong and would cause disease and sick men would get worse easily.

What could be worse?
There's no good points?
