Was the serpent the devil?? in the garden of eden...?

the serpent told eve to eat the fruit.. i am told he is the devil... however i am confused because it doesnt say anything in the bible before that incident about God creating angels... which had to of happened first so lucifer could get kicked our of heaven right!?? then he would become satan ... so how do you know for sure that the serpent is satan!? also when God says "Let us make man......" who is "us".... please help
 
The serpent is the devil here is a proof:

When God curses mankind for their sin it was prophesied by God that the he will crush your head (the serpents), and you will strike his heel. The only person who has crushed the head of the serpent is Jesus when he died on the cross.

When God says make man in our image. He is talking about the Trinity. The Father, The Son, & the Holy spirit.

The English language does not convey the meaning of one God being plural. So the idea is that there is one God but 3 entities that are One God. Mathematically it would look like this 1=1x1x1




About Lucifer/Satan/Serpent he was kicked out of Heaven not Earth. The Garden of Eden was on Earth, the Garden of Eden is not Heaven.
