Was the man right in shooting the attacker?

I believe it is the right of Americans to have guns. I am a christian and own a gun, but would not use it against another human being. Yet, I wonder what I would do if I witnessed what happened in the below story.

I watched a news clip where a devorced man walked into his ex-wife's place of business and attacked her brutally with a large knife. He was going to kill her.

There happened to be a person in the place who had a permit to carry a gun. The man with the gun yelled for the man to stop stabbing the woman or he would shoot. The man did not so he was shot and killed.

If the man did not have a gun, the woman would have been dead instead of her attacker.
I own a 40 and 22 caliber.

It should be justified. He was warned by the Innocent man, it wasn't like he woke up this morning and decided, today I am going kill a man stabbing a woman. Like the man stabbing the woman, he woke up and made a decision to stab someone and carried out the plan. The shooter is Innocent and never questioned.

It was a clean shoot. If someone is going to kill an innocent person and you can stop it you've got a responsibility to do so. You can't shoot to wound someone. You shoot center mass and you shoot him at least twice. I own a Taurus 9mm and a Smith and Wesson .38spl airweight.

What kind of gun do you own?

I would have shot the man with no hesitation, but perhaps would have shot to disable, not kill. Shooting someone in the elbows or shoulders can do a lot to get them to Stop Doing That!
