Was Lewis Carroll (Author Of Alice In Wonderland) Actually A Pedophile!?

Well, I heard that he was and I'm curious now to see if it's true.

(This is my opinion on just knowing that he was a pedophile, if it's true). It seems to me like people almost treat Lewis Carroll like royalty because he wrote Alice in Wonderland, but (if this is true) wasn't Alice also based on a little girl he was obsessed with? If all of this is true, I'm kind of disgusted. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Is it true? And if so, what are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

There is some evidence that he may have been a repressed paedophile: he liked to draw and photograph nude female children, not to mention his clear preference for the company of children over adults.

The general consensus seems to be that he was indeed a paedophile, but a celibate one.

As for Alice, yes, she was based on a real little girl who he wrote the stories for. TBH, although I do think he was a repressed paedophile, I don't see anything wrong with the idea that he wrote stories for Alice - when you consider what he *could* have been doing to her, writing stories is mild to say the least.

I've never seen any evidence of people treating him like royalty, though. The suggestion that he was a paedophile is fairly widely known and accepted.
