Was it good that chrysler bought jeep?

I am a firm believer that Jeep was much better before Chrysler. The CJ's used to last forever and were easily fixable. Now they are much to commercial, comfortable, and a crappy Chrysler brand that falls apart quickly and has lost its ruggedness as an SUV.
