My neighbor lady and I used to be sort of friends....she is weird and one of those people that if you give them an inch they will take a mile. I always tried to not get to friendly with her but she would just persist...so I let her into my life to the point where we would have coffee and talk once in awhile. Well she got in the habit of asking favors of me quite often, run errands, let her dog out, etc. and I am just not that sort of person and I dont ask anyone for that sort of thing....I do my own errands. She is completely able bodied..no excuse what so ever.Then when I got a boyfriend, she got mad about that...so I thought "good" ..I dont have to deal with her anymore. Well low and behold, she comes over tonite and wants to makeup....and I was very stern with her...and basically told her I didnt want to be friends...just neighbors...I felt like I had to stick to my guns...or she would be right back to her old habits of asking me for favors. Also this is a person who is always on the pity pot...poor me type..Did I handle it right? what would you have done?
