As far as I know, all wars throughout history have been fought over religion or resources. We like to believe we're fighting in Iraq because of freedom. I know it's all about who controls the world's oil. There were many wars fought during the Columbian Exchange when the European explorers settled the New World. The British, French, Dutch, and Spanish all wanted to control the trade routes in the Caribbean. You don't need me to explain the situation in Northern Ireland and Israel. World War II was started by religion. The Nazis decided the Jews were too much of a burden in Germany. All the battles fought between the Native Americans were over the land. The same is true in many places today. So what is war good for besides making rich men richer?
