War gimmicks throughout history?

i want to know about the unique stunts that many parties in war did to get an edge. USA used agent orange in Vietnam, Atom bombs on Japan, the big wooden horse of troy etc. I looked quite a lot. If you can help me out and point me to a good source, I'd really appreciate it!

Every new weapon was a "gimmick" when it was first used.

So really, just look up the history on wikipedia of every weapon you can think of.
