Wanting to buy a 09' street bike...which one?

Im a fairly new rider to street bikes. I want a 600 to start off with. Im wanting a GSXR 600, all seem to be withing the price range of $1,000 dollars or so.

What do you recommend & why?

A 600 of your choice i would say its not too big to hurt you or your pocket if you lay it down while learning & its not something you are gonna get tired of when you get the hang of it & wana open that sucker up...i woulg go for a gsxr ,better resale value that any bike out there... ooh & a buell well yeah its supports american economy but i watch my own pocket & cant support any companys habit to build crap & sellit like gold.....(free country)sorry ...love america
