Wanted: App that shows daily agenda etc.

I'd like to find an application that shows up all the daily events (calendar, To Do etc.) when I power up my Palm. I tried WinLauncher but I don't really need that much eye candy, just an app that shows me what to do today.

Of course it can have a built in Launcher and other goodies too but the main point here is that I'd like to see something like the Today view in Windows-based PDA's.

It's E2.

EDIT: And I want the today view to be on all the time unless I specifically exit it, and I also want that f.ex. the "home" button on the graffiti area could be remapped so that when I press it, the today view comes up.

Agendus does all that you want. There are many issues with it, but it will do all you request.

Download a trial version. Set up its view with 'split' remap the buttons and check all the related preferences. Iw will doo that as that is what I wanted allow some other views are useful sometimes.

2Day - you might try it.....at palmgear. Has some launcher features as well. It will work inconjunction with Agendus to give you that robust full featured app.

You should try 2day as suggested by Mooseman. The app can be programmed to open when you switch on your Palm, or only after a set period of inactivity. I set mine to two hours, and it's very effective in reminding me of important dates/tasks.

You can play around with the settings to suit the app to your needs. You'll have plenty of choices. You can set up 4 icons to go directly to your most used apps.

One thing good about it is it also shows the birthdays of persons in your address book, unlike some of my other apps (MyWeek and Month Planner show only tasks and calendar events  ).

Cheers!

I like 2Day, the one Mooseman referred to also. I personally don't like Agendas, but that is just my own personal preference. Agendas has raves reviews by many here.

Tried Agendus and 2day. Didn't like either one. I need an app that is always "on", meaning that when I use my palm there is no way I can miss any appointments and To Do's.

Trying AppShelf now.

After I got over the initial shock of reading (or trying to comprehend) AppShelf's poorly written "English" manual, I found AppShelf very nice. I'm using it now and so far I'm satisfied.

Someone should contact the guy who makes AppShelf and offer to proofread his manual and the program for a nominal fee. I mean, I almost puked when I tried to read the manual and was on the verge of deleting the app instantly due to the poor quality of the manual but fortunately (today) I was patient enough to re-read the important points in the manual many times and I eventually learned the program a bit. But still, something needs to be done to the manual and the english interface of the program, the english is just plain awful... At least for me because I'm not a native speaker and I just can't understand semantically and grammatically complex phrases like f.ex.;

 "AppShelf is a launcher for the Hi-Res Color devices of OS5.x with the following features... [cut]...At extending a category to contents, it is the attainment to information with fewer procedure."

I like 2day ........ basically because it has a few features that I have not found elsewhere:

1) Plug-ins for both weather forecasts and stocks
2) Shows Birthdays
3) Nice UI

More recently though, I have found a problem that I was hoping someone may be able to assist with (and the author of 2day is also looking into).....

When you have 2day set to run at power on, Hi-Launcher becomes "de-activated" somehow and won't work. You can uncheck the run at power on feature within 2day, do a soft reset, and then Hi-Launcher works again....but there's a definate issue there and I REALLY want 2day to run each time I power on my T3.

Any thoughts??

I was answering the Original Poster. Assigning one button to your calendar and starting the PDA with that button will bring up calendar no matter what calendar app you use. That's often enough for most people.

However, TealGlance goes one better and shows you the agenda no matter what you start the PDA with. It's designed for the OP and many like him, who want a sure-fire view of agenda no matter what. The only thing more blatant would be making out your schedule in one inch red block letters, printing it, placing it on table with text facing you, and riveting it to your forehead.

I have no input regarding HiLauncher and it's interaction/non interaction with other apps. I could make many suggestions but didn't want to derail the thread.
