...and financial info!!? I'm a business student and I am interested in opening a restaurant & lounge in downtown Brooklyn. Im writing the business plan but I am having trouble with the financial aspects. The restaurant would be HEAVY on decoration to create a certain atmosphere. I've done some research and found that in downtown Brooklyn, rent is approximately $30-$35 per sq ft annually. Is this figure in the right ball park? I'm also having trouble determining what monthly utility and insurance expenses would be. Also, I know that we will have to obtain a liquor license, but are there any other permits I will have to obtain and how much will all of these licenses and permits cost? We envision a 2,000 sq ft location, so can you give me a rough estimate of how much start-up capital will be needed? Another large part is how much food and liquor inventory I will need to start up and sustain business. I am hoping that someone with experience will be able to help me out . Thanx in advance!!
