Okay. So I am pretty sure that all of you have your own opinions about things. Well, I just wanted to here some opinions, and answers. This is just for fun. So here are some things you can rant about and answer:

-What do you not like about the horse word? Why?

-Do you agree with people who say that you should hire a trained proffesional to train a horse? Why or Why Not?

-What style do you like better (English or Western?) Why?

-Tell me about your horses/ponies

-What was your worst and/or funniest fall?

-What question do you hate that people ask? Why?

-Do you believe in horse rescue? Why?

-Do you believe in sending horses to the meat market? Why or Why Not?

-What is your favorite breed of horse? Why?

-What is your barn/stable like?

-If you have anymore that you wanna talk/rant/tell about feel free!

P.S. If any of you play on Howrse.com and want a really nice dark bay standardbred I have one that I need to sell!

Thx, Bye!

1. people who think that they can ride and cant

2.no not really hire someone who knows what there doing.

3.Western becaues that what everybody else did in my family so thats what i do and english riding is stupid dont like it

4.I have 5 of them all QH

-What do you not like about the horse word? Why?
I hate when people say they are useless and the best place for them is a slaughter house :@:@:@:@:@
(I added this) What i like about horses
>>>Well I think that it means a wonder full creature, which are so lovely. they love there owners even when the idiots abuse them.

-Do you agree with people who say that you should hire a trained professional to train a horse? Why or Why Not?
>>> In a way i think it is good as you get a nice horse out of it.
>>>In a way i think training your own horse is alright as you have the fun and you know your horse better, but it dont always turn out right when you do it your self :P
><> I cant really answer this one as i half agree. :D
-What style do you like better (English or Western?) Why?
>>> English because i have been brought up riding english, plus english u can go for nice slow hacks to a nice gallop. As western is faster.
>>>I would like to try western but i bet it harder then english

-Tell me about your horses/ponies
>>> I love two Horses One called chloe she is a i dont know the breed but she is 5 old and about 15 hands... she has done 4 jumping shows with me since i have had her placing 1st twice 2nd three times and 3rd once....
>>> I also love my newest horse she is called Shadow, she is a gypsy cob and i love her :D
Shadow:http://www.auroraacres.com/100_1587.jpg
Chloe:http://www.windsorfarmny.com/images/chloe.jpg
I did have a horse called sparky but he died:(

-What was your worst and/or funniest fall?
>>>The funniest was i was posting in trot and as i went back down in the saddle i slipped and flipped of. I think the one that hurted the most but not the worst was i was jumping and i leaned forward to far and hit my chest on my horses back and bruised all my chest as i hit my chest i was in pain so i lost control and flipped of the side and hit the jump.
-What question do you hate that people ask? Why?
>>> When people say how can i tell if my horse is a mare or a gelding.
-Do you believe in horse rescue? Why?
>>> Hell yes, my horse sparky was rescued but he was not so lucky, and my other horse shadow was :P
-Do you believe in sending horses to the meat market? Why or Why Not?
NO WAY because, why send it to them, if it your pet you dont want dogs eating it and people that cut them up 'the meat man' has no heart.
-What is your favorite breed of horse? Why?
Paint and Gypsy cob
Because they are so beautiful
-What is your barn/stable like?
Dunno, i like callum park where i have been riding for the last 9 years :D
-If you have anymore that you wanna talk/rant/tell about feel free!
Well, i would like to say R.I.P to my gypsy cob sparky :'(

-the rich snobs who recon they are all that and think they are the best at riding, but they aren't.

-no don't, everyday people can also train horses just as good.

-english, i find it more fun cause you can do more things like jumping, xc and dressage and i find english saddles more comfortable

- i own a 16hh chesnut thoroughbred gelding, he has been trained in preliminary dressage/novice dressage, has done pony club and im currently training him in show jumping and xc.

-my only fall i have ever had was when me and my friend were galloping around the padok doing xc and the pony i was on went tawards a jump jumped it in the wrong direction and i fell on side ways as he tried to dodge the tree that we were heading tawards and i was flat on the ground on a stick.

-the one question that i have seen to many times on yahoo answer in this section that anoysme to the max is when people say i want a horse but my parents wont get one.

- i strongly beleive in horse rescue as i hate seeing gods most beautiful creature being put through pain then slaughtered or abused or sent of to the sale yards to be sold as dog meat.

-no i dont beleive in sending horses to the meat market. it is just plain wrong.

-thoruoghbreds, they are a strong fun breed that are very fun to ride because they are never the same horse, well myne isnt any way he is always doing differnt attitudes tawards me.

-my agistment is great, there are cute horses there and friendsly people, and i love the facilities and events that we hold and go on group trails.

when people bracke toruless at a show and nothing is done about itbecausee of who they are and so it is not a level playing filled.

i think it depends on what level rider you are sometime it is could to get someone who has had lots of expernceing in traning horses wvwn if it is just to help you out on a few things.

well i like both but i only ride english as i don't know how ride weasten but i love watching people ride that way under saddle.

i have arabs and one thoughbreed i love them all and then i have two foals one purearab girl and a partbreed boy but the boy has a grey mum and a pally dad yet he is a dun how wired is that the arabs are breeding horses the other is my rideing horse when i have the time i work and help my friends out with there horses so it can be bissy.

when i fell off on the side of the road as i was talking to my friends and not paying attenchen to my horse i also fell of a pony oce just slip of bareback that wass funny as hell.

who is your favert horse because i love all my horses the same and don't play faveerts.

yes my late geilding was rescue from the back yard of someone house after four days of being without food or water it saved his life and he was put down at the age of 26 and at age 16 one champion ridden arabian at a b gread show.

no i don't but if you can't feed them and they will saffer and you can't put them down or sell them then there is not much chosce left.

i love arabs as they are the oldest breed of horse in the would and have been used on most breeds to in prove them or inprove the numbers of a breed they have been breed for more than 1000 years or more.

i have my horses at a stud in paddock and the barn if needed

i love horse i wish i could have more but will have to do with the ones i have.

YAY!!!! HORSE RANTING!!

k, i HATE people who are all snotty and work their horses to death and dont care about the relationship, and i honestly dont care much for shows, im more of a pleasure rider

well, trained pros are good and bad because, one, you can get your horse trained without all the work and (if you pick a good one) can get expert training, but its bad cuz then you cant build a relationship when training with your horse, so you guys will barely kno each other

NATURAL HORSEMANSHIP!!!!!ok, i really want to get this going, its an awsome thing...look it up, you can be english or western ( i prefer english, by the way) Parelli's Natural Horsemanship

Well, i lease a horse named Hannah and i have lessons every friday and go to my neighbors house to help her and learn about Parelli stuff every tuesday and weekend

Well, i dont think it was fall, but FALLS...hahaa....
well, this was WAYYYYY back when i barely knew how to ride a horse and i hadnt ridden in about a month and had never ridden bareback before. My teacher decided to make us ride bareback that day. i fell off about five times in a row...

Stupid questions, or questions that show that they dont care at all about horses like "ugh, why do you like them??"

Yes, because it is an amazing thing that can help horses that have been abused or mistreated

NOOOWAYYY!! they can use some other kind of meat, ive heard horse isnt even an efficient or good tasting meat anyway, not that ive tried it

Arabian, i kno their a bit high-spirited and EXPENSIVE AND SNOBBY but they are so beautiful and graceful and their spirit amazes me.... i just love the shape of their head and the high-set tails

well, its got about thirteen stalls and its english

again, parelli method, look it up!!

-I really don't like all the stupid ignorant people that think they know what they are doing, but really are making fools out of them self's. You know the people who incorrectly train horses, ride lame horses, ride skinny horses, think that using stronger bits has good effects.

-Depends on the situation, if someone asks on here, I tell them to hire a trainer. Why? because its dangerous and people can get hurt. Now if its someone I know and they asked me I would probably (providing that they are a capable rider) tell them to shoot for it.

-I like both equally, and it depends on what I'm doing.

-I have two horses, a 21 year old overo paint horse mare and a 9 year old bay morgan cross mare. The paint is retired and partially blind, the morgan cross was a rescue case and I do mainly dressage and western with her. Although she is gaited so trail riding is pretty fun.

-Worst: I was riding my older horse out behind a paddock with one of my friends. It was winter but the snow had started to melt and it was pretty warm out that day. Me and my friend had ridden about every single weekend, when it was snowing, when it was slick, and on more "dangerous" area's at faster speeds, (we jumped across a stream when the snow got to deep and we could barley see the landing, we galloped up the driveway, cantered up hill's without checking the footing). She went up first but my horse stopped at the hill. I kicked her forward (and were going to note that this horse was an old saint never put a foot wrong) and she slipped about 3/4 of the way up the hill, fell on my leg, and I somehow managed to wiggle my way out from under her. We were both fine but I haven't done much riding outside in the winter since.

funniest: Theres a few.

Getting off my old mare and being lazy (bareback) she takes a step forward, I get my leg caught on her backbone, and land on my but.

Riding a jumper course (ok hunter course but I swear me and my horse have no concept of the world slow). and could not for the life of me get a rollback from one fence to another (if I had maybe taken the speed down a notch I could have gotten it). I rode extreamly fast to the first fence, spun off it and my horse (who sometimes listens to well for her own good) really spun off the fence. I stopped her before we jumped it, sat there for about a second then slid right off the side of her.

and my trainer was laughing hysterically that I sit almost perfectly to this crazy spin yet my horse stops and I tumble off.

oh and not falling off but still funny: I was walking my trainers horse, who I had just got done riding and he was extreamly lazy under saddle so I had to wear spurs. Anyways walking and I'm fine, take the saddle off and I'm still fine, go to turn and take a step.

I'm on my face.

yep I tripped over the spurs.

- My horse wont stop what bit should I use? usually by the first sentence I have established that the rider is not riding correctly, the horse has a hard mouth, and its heading to hell FAST.

-Yes, because those horses did not ASK to be bred, or be put in that situation, it was humans who did that. No animal deserves the treatment that some of those horses receive. And the crap that they put up with, that's enough in my mind to support rescue. Yes sometimes the horses snap, or get so scared that there's really not much more that you can do, but I've seen some cases first hand- and I even own a horse who was previously abused, mishandled, and not taken care of- and she's one of the most loving horses (once you get past her quirks) that i've had the chance to work with.

-No I don't, its usually a very cruel and painful way those horses die.

-Morgans, well I own a half morgan and she's about one of the greatest horses, quick to learn, and just a really funny horse to be around (she'll take plastic cups and drink out of them...). But although I've met a morgan or two that personally I did not like (the newer style ones seem to have the attitudes)the "old style" Morgans are (at least from my experiences) great horses to work with.

-It's an old cow barn with the stalls turned into horse stalls, its small, but the people are extreamly nice and its small (I think there only 4-5 borders including myself). The owner is very nice and helpful, and has been around horses for a long time, and knows alot.

-What do you not like about the horse word? Why?
the people that are rich and snotty and think they can ride, but cant
-Do you agree with people who say that you should hire a trained proffesional to train a horse? Why or Why Not? well you dont want some bum to train ur horse

-What style do you like better (English or Western?) Why?
english, its more fun and more comfy and more things 2 do
-Tell me about your horses/ponies i dont own one but lou-lou is the pony i jump she is a arab, and then rooney--is a big horse

-What was your worst and/or funniest fall? when i did a summer sault in the air and land sitting, and then one time i landed standing

-What question do you hate that people ask? Why? How do you tell if its a boy horsey or a girl horsey? uggg its just annoying

-Do you believe in horse rescue? Why?

-Do you believe in sending horses to the meat market? Why or Why Not? NOOOO, its mean cruel and abuse

-What is your favorite breed of horse? Why? arab they are so elegant and gorgeous and dont get me started on Sonny he was a arab and omg stunning, we had the best bond and then...

-What is your barn/stable like? big large indoor/outdoor arena 30 stalls a wash stall paddocks, trails, pastures

-If you have anymore that you wanna talk/rant/tell about feel free!

What do I not like about the horse world??
I do not like the rumors that go around when someone "suspects" something. I hate how fast news travels and I hate how everyone supposively knows everyone

Do I agree when people say that you should hire a professional trainer? why or why not?
to a point yes I agree. If I think that the horse or rider or someone else is going to get hurt then it's time to move the professionals in. But other than that no... why should you pay all of that money when you can do it yourself???

What style do I like better? why?
it really depends... I love going on a nice slow gate in a western saddle and then again I love going fast in a english saddle.

Tell me about your horses or ponies?
well I have a 16 years old mare who I bought at a slaughter auction who was a ex barrel racer.... after a year of pulling my hair out with training her and me to do "pleasure" classes I am now riding and showing with some of the real deal show horses. Although me and my horse wont place very well in a rail/halter class because my horse just simply isn't pretty enough... we will kick your butt in pattern and trail classes.

What was my worst/funniest fall?
well my worst fall would of had to of been when I was riding bareback and I fell off into a barb wire fence.
my funniest fall would have been when I was showing in my trail class and the judge asked for a ground tie... well I was dismounting and my foot that was still in the stirrup came out and I fell right on my butt.. still won the class though!

What question do I hate that people ask? why?
I think that all questions are good questions... most of the time... but when people ask me if I cheat in showing because how can I take a crappy horse and beat these money filled quarter horses??... I hate that question because I have to give them a lecture on how I do better then them because I actually want this... and I've worked to get it...

Do I believe in horse rescue? Why?
sure... everyone and everything deserves a second chance

Do I believe in sending horses to the meat market? why or why not?
yes I do... there are way too many unwanted horses out there and why let them suffer and starve to death on some dirt lot??? and plus... whats the difference in sending a cow or a horse to a meat house??? cows are alive too you know..

What is my favorite breed of horse, why?
I'm probably just going to go with a nice old fashioned quarter horse.. I love the way their built

What is my barn/stable like???
I love them all too death... everyone is pretty much awesome there! They have helped me soo much!

what i hate about the horse world:
*how expensive everything is- my tack box alone was 500, boots like 200, and my saddle was 900 new but i bought it used
i hate the feeling that i cant afford anything, my parents have to help me out, i got the box as a present
*how snobby some people are- people that can afford multiple horses think they are better than everyone else because they have enough money to have a different horse for hunter, eq, jumpers and ponies

riding style:
*english- i love jumping, thats pretty much the reason

worst and funniest fall:
*worst- i was canterin a one stride, the horse refused the first twice then went over it, then refused the second, i sort of fell on his neck a little and he put his neck down and then flipped it up, he flug me into the air and i landed on my head, my mom and trainer said it was like i did an arial and that it was the highest a kid has ever gone
*funniest- i was on a pony and she bucked and i flipped off and landed on my feet then got back on

my barn: this is gonna be really long

I LOVE MY BARN! i have ridded there since i was 9. we have a lesson program and then there is a better program for better riders. i lease a horse and he is amazing. we have 4 barns, 3 sets of paddocks, 4 rings (2 outdoor, 2 covered), we have a huge hunt field and trails and it is great
i love it so much, we have great trainers who have brought me up from a little girl who wanted to learn to ride and taught me to be the rider i am today
my horse lives in one of the barns and is right near the ring
we are actually remodeling one of our rings and making it better and nicer with better footing
we have our ring that is an oval that we use for big jumping and then a pony ring for private lessons and another covered ring for more jumping
i love my barn and i love showing with them too

- I hate how everyone thinks they can fix your horse. People think they can ride their horse better than you etc. Now, not everyone is like this. But i did notice a week ago or so, on a video on youtube a girl was riding HER pony. and yes, she may have been too big for it but it was still her horse and no one had a right to tell her she shouldnt be riding it.

- Yes, and no. I like to train my horses to do things, i am a barrel racer, so if i wanted to train my horses to say jump.. i would probably ask for help or get a trainer. I wouldnt expect to train my horses myself and have them become great jumpers. Because, i dont know anything about jumping.

- I like western more because i love rodeos, and barrel racing. But i have ridden english before and its loads of fun.

- I have two horses. One chestnut, one buckskin. I barrel race both of them, but i am still finishing the chestnut. I got my buckskin when i was in my teens, and i got my chestnut from an auction about a year ago.

- My funniest fall would have to be asking my friend to give me a boost up bareback, and falling off the other said. and my worst fall would have to be last year at a rodeo, when both my horse and i fell going to the first barrel.

- I hate it when people ask "whats a good showname?" its called creativity.

- Yes i do, but i dont like PETA and all that crap.

- No, obviously not. If i was going to do that, i'd just put em to sleep.

- I love arabs. their so fun. Although, i'd never own one. I just like riding them.

- Well my mom owns a facility and its really nice. She has 12 x 12 stalls, heated lounge etc. I wish i was back home!

- nope :D

i play on horse my thing is myeverthing how much is he and i have a stables roc n roll

-What do you not like about the horse world? Why?
The stuck-up, ritzy know-it-all riders/owners who look down their noses at anyone who didn't pay $100k for their horse.

-Do you agree with people who say that you should hire a trained professional to train a horse? Why or Why Not?
Depends on how good you are at training yourself, and what you're trying to train the horse to do. I'm retraining my horse to be a calmer, more responsive mount, but I don't need a professional for that, it's just common-sense exercises.

-What style do you like better (English or Western?) Why?
Western, English steering is way too complicated. I like neck-reining. If I use a saddle I prefer Western saddles, they're bigger and more comfy.

-Tell me about your horses/ponies
15 year old American Paint. He's a spoiled rotten pain in the neck. And I love him. :-)

-What was your worst and/or funniest fall?
Haven't fallen yet.

-What question do you hate that people ask? Why?
What should I name my horse?
How much does a horse cost?
Is this horse cute?

-Do you believe in horse rescue? Why?
Absolutely, for people who have the resources to properly work with a rescued horse. I'm not sure the average horse owner is capable of working with some rescue cases, especially sick or abused horses.

-Do you believe in sending horses to the meat market? Why or Why Not?
Not sure.

-What is your favorite breed of horse? Why?
Fresians, to look at, but I hear they're fussy to ride. For riding I like Quarters and Paints.

-What is your barn/stable like?
Just a small private farm with 4 permanent residents, 2 full time boarders, and 4 winter boarders.

-If you have anymore that you wanna talk/rant/tell about feel free!

One thing that I hate about the horse world. Is that everyone can get into the industry, in their opinion, by reading a couple of things in books and on the internet. I think that as a prerequisite to buying a horse you definitely need some experience and I don't mean the kind you get when you go to ride some dead broke horse in a round pin.

I think that if you don't have experience when training horses, at least the basics you can ruin a horse by the way you approach the training. Leading to horses becoming head shy, or nervous or even stubborn if you don't enforce that you are the "boss". So in that case I think it would be necessary to hire a professional so that the training can have a good foundation. However if you know and have experience I think that training your horse is a really good bonding opportunity for you and your horse.

I was raised on the back of a horse, I rode western throughout my childhood, I never had lesson and I never was exposed to english until I started working for a different farm. I keep an open mind, I think that English actually gives you a better connection to your horses movements it allows you to synch yourself more efficiently with your horse. Which I definitely find as a plus because it allows your horse to move with more cadence. So I prefer english for experienced riders however the western saddle gives you a better balance and it is much easier to learn so for new riders I think that it is more efficient in just learning the basics.

I have 22 horses altogether, my personal horses( the ones I trained from foals and ride consistently) are Whopper Stop and Thing One. Whopper( like the candy) is a paint mare that has not a spot of white on her she is an extremely dark bay. She was a really shy when she was born as was her mother, a challenge which is what I found so intriguing about her. I currently barrel race her taking advantage of her quick steady movements. The thing I love about her most is that fact that she is the most sure footed horse I have ever ridden, I have never had her trip and when you are running full blast this is an extremely desirable trait. The other one Thing One is an Appaloosa she is much thicker and muscular then Whopper she is made for looks no doubt her grand sire is Zippo Pine Bar so we originally bought her to breed. I liked her so much because she is so dosile and even tempered. Great show horse. Were as Whopper is high spirited and on the move constantly.

I had a 2000 lb gelding fall on me, in a deep turn, crushed my foot into 16 different pieces took forever to heal this is why I treasure a sure footed horse. It never once made me think to stop riding though.

I keep my horses out to pasture 80 percent of the time, people always ask me aren't you afraid that they will get cold, wet, or sick. Well I think personally that in nature horses are outdoors at all times and it is their natural instinct to hide under trees when it rains I have plenty of trees, I think they will be fine. Personal opinion.

I do believe in horse rescue I think that just because you cant supply your horse with appropriate fod atmosphere etc and yet you every day then they should be kept in that situation.

My top 3 are arabians, Fresians, and Paints.

Sorry I ran out of time to answer the rest. I really liked this it released a little in me. Thank you.
