The nugget of this idea – “Cool Bands Made Uncool” –is to take a band name and add something to it to give it nerd flair.
Fleetwood Mac becomes Fleetwood PC ; Megadeth becomes Megabitedeth. You get the picture; it’s easy to get – and that’s sort of the point.
Below is a sampling of some of the Cool Bands Made Uncool that I and some of my friends came up with so far:
-The Whom (The Who)
-Memetallica (Metallica)
-50 Centrum (50 Cent)
-Steppenwalrus (Steppenwolf)
-REO Stationwagon (REO Speedwagon)
-Nine Inch Toenails (Nine Inch Nails)
-Ham Radiohead (Radiohead)
-Bacterial Culture Club (Culture Club)
- Letter Writing Campaign Against the Machine (Rage against the Machine)
- The Dung Beatles (The Beatles)
-Evolution Eats World (Jimmy Eats World)
- Prince and the Industrial Revolution (Prince and the Revolution or something? I dunno..I forget the band, I just know him as prince. My friend came up with it)
